Intro Blog

For the rest of the semester I was planning to look into people who come from towns that were less diverse than my own. Towns that are predominantly white would have a completely different culture than the one that I experienced living in a town where less than 5% of the population was white. People in these towns would have a different way of thinking and doing things, their culture would also make the way they view the rest of the world different then how I view it. They would have a very different shared set of values and norms then I would coming from my environment. In order to study these places I need to find somewhere preferably in Nebraska that has a majority white population. I think it would be great to visit the town and find out some of the history and possibly talk to some people to find out how they view themselves and the outside world. I would like to know some of the norms and values they believe they share as a community.
